CSIR NET Answer Key 2026: NTA to Release Provisional Key Soon, Objection Window to Open

New Delhi — The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the provisional answer key for the CSIR UGC NET 2026 exam held in July. Candidates who appeared for the test on 17 and 18 July 2026 will be able to download their response sheet and answer key from the official website: csirnet.nta.nic.in. 

Along with the provisional key, NTA will also open an objection window for candidates to challenge any answers.

CSIR NET 2026 Exam Details

NTA conducted the CSIR NET 2026 exam across the country on 17 and 18 July 2026. 

The exam was held in 2 shifts at over 222 exam centers nationwide, with a large number of candidates appearing. Once the answer key is out, aspirants can cross-check their responses and estimate their probable scores.

When Will the Answer Key Be Released?

NTA is expected to upload the provisional answer key and response sheets in PDF format very soon on csirnet.nta.nic.in. 

A direct login link will also be provided here once it is activated.

How to Raise Objections

If candidates find any discrepancies in the provisional answer key, they can submit objections within the deadline given by NTA. 

• Objections must be submitted online through the link provided by NTA.
• A non-refundable fee will be required for each question challenged.

After reviewing all objections, NTA will release the final answer key, which will be used to prepare the CSIR NET 2026 result.

How to Download CSIR NET Answer Key 2026

Follow these steps to check and download the answer key:

1. Go to the official NTA CSIR NET website: csirnet.nta.nic.in
2. Click on the “CSIR NET Answer Key 2026” link on the homepage
3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth/Password
4. Your Response Sheet and Answer Key will appear on the screen
5. Download the PDF and match your answers

How to Calculate Probable Score

To estimate your score:

1. Understand the marking scheme for your subject
2. Compare your responses with the provisional answer key
3. Add marks for correct answers and deduct for negatives as per the scheme
4. Calculate total marks subject-wise

Category-wise Qualifying Marks

To qualify CSIR NET, candidates need minimum marks in both papers combined: 

General / OBC: 33% 

SC / ST / PwD / Transgender: 25%
