Iranian media celebrated the news,

publishing a statement that said, “I congratulate the Iranian nation on warmongering anti-Iran U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham being sent to hell.” Iran had publicly listed Graham as a target just days earlier.

At the same time,

conspiracy theories surfaced online suggesting he was poisoned or assassinated by Iran or Russia. There is currently no public evidence to back those claims.Graham’s office confirmed he died on Sunday. According to their statement: “On the evening of Saturday, July 11, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham passed away from a brief and sudden illness. Senator Graham’s family appreciates prayers at this time and asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult period.”

Former President Donald Trump also paid tribute. In a post on Truth Social, he called Graham “one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known.”“He was always working, and was a true American Patriot. Lindsey will be greatly missed… So sad,” Trump wrote
