The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the Paper-I Exam City Intimation Slip for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecom) and Scientific Assistant (IMD) Examination 2026. Candidates appearing for the 1,699 announced vacancies can now verify their allotted exam city, date, and shift by logging into the official portal at ssc.gov.in using their One-Time Registration (OTR) credentials.

The computer-based examination for Paper 1 is scheduled from November 2 to November 6, 2026, with the JE (Telecommunication) exam scheduled for November 30 to December 1, 2026. Official admit cards will be issued roughly 2 to 3 days prior to a candidate’s specific exam date, starting around late October 2026.

How to Check and Download the City Slip

1. Navigate to the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in.
2. Click on the Login / Register tab on the homepage.
3. Input your OTR Registration Number, Password, and Captcha code.
4. Locate the SSC Junior Engineer Examination 2026 City Intimation Slip link in the candidate dashboard.
5. Review your scheduled date, shift, and allotted examination city.
6. Download and save the slip for your travel arrangements.

Mandatory Checklist for Exam Day

• Physical Admit Card: Downloaded and printed clearly from the official portal.
• Valid Photo ID: Original government ID card (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving Licence).
• Photographs: Two recent passport-size colour photographs matching the application upload.
• Date of Birth Certificate: Necessary if the primary photo ID does not show the complete date of birth.
• PwBD Certificate: Required for candidates seeking compensatory time or scribe facilities.

Note on Exam Protocol: Heavy metallic items, electronics, calculators, smartwatches, and bags are strictly barred from the exam premises. Biometric screening and live photograph capture will be conducted at entry.
