The Medical Counselling Committee, MCC, has revised the Round 2 schedule for NEET Super Speciality Counselling 2025. Along with the new timeline, MCC has also updated the seat matrix by adding 153 in-service super speciality seats from Tamil Nadu and withdrawing 8 seats from 5 institutes.

Candidates are advised to check the revised schedule and updated seat matrix before filling choices.

Revised NEET SS Round 2 Dates

  • Registration: Till 3 PM, August 5, 2026
  • Fee Payment: Till 6 PM, August 5, 2026
  • Choice Filling: Till 2 PM, August 6, 2026
  • Choice Locking: Opens 8 PM, August 5, 2026
  • Seat Allotment Processing: August 6, 2026
  • Result Declaration: August 7, 2026
  • Reporting to Institutes: August 8 to August 12, 2026

Major Changes In Seat Matrix

153 Seats Added: MCC has added 153 vacant in-service super speciality seats from Tamil Nadu to the Round 2 matrix. This follows the Tamil Nadu State Selection Committee returning these seats to MCC as per the Supreme Court order dated July 28, 2026 in Tamil Nadu Medical Officers Association & Anr. vs Union of India & Ors. Eligible candidates can now include these seats during choice filling.

8 Seats Withdrawn: MCC has removed 8 Open category All India Quota seats after requests from institutes:

  1. Govt Medical College, Jammu – 2 DNBSS Neurology seats
  2. Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital, Chennai – 2 DNBSS Neonatology seats 
  3. Ivy Health and Life Sciences, Mohali – 1 DNBSS Cardiology seat
  4. Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad – 2 DNBSS Neurology seats
  5. Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi – 1 DNBSS Surgical Oncology seat

Other Instructions

MCC has asked all participating medical colleges to remain open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays during the counselling period to ensure admissions are completed on time.
