Hero Glamour X 125 ABS Debuts at Rs 1.01 Lakh

Hero MotoCorp has expanded its 125cc commuter portfolio with the launch of the Glamour X 125 ABS variant, priced at Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This update introduces single-channel ABS integrated with the brand’s Integrated Braking System (IBS), marking a first for the 125cc category.

Braking and Safety Upgrades

The new braking hardware combines a single-channel Anti-lock Braking System with Hero’s combined IBS setup, designed to prevent front-wheel lock-up while distributing braking force evenly. Additional safety additions include a Panic Brake Alert system—which flashes the hazard lamps rapidly during sudden deceleration to warn trailing motorists—alongside standard hazard lights.

Electronics and Hardware Features

The Glamour X retains its segment-first cruise control system alongside three distinct ride modes: Eco, Road, and Power. A 10.7 cm full-colour digital instrument cluster offers over 60 data readouts, including gear-position advisory, real-time fuel efficiency, and distance-to-empty metrics.

Smartphone pairing via Bluetooth delivers turn-by-turn navigation with estimated travel time, as well as call and SMS notifications. Convenience features include all-LED lighting with Hero’s signature H-shaped DRL, a Type-C charging port, and dual under-seat smartphone pockets.

Engine and Styling

Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged. It is driven by the 125cc Sprint-EBT single-cylinder engine that generates 11.4 bhp (8.5 kW) at 8,250 rpm. Commuter-focused ergonomics include a low seat height, wide handlebars, and an extended single-piece seat.

Hero has also introduced two new paint schemes—Gun Metal Grey and Matt Axis Grey—alongside the existing Black Pearl Red and Black Teal Blue finishes. The update positions the Glamour X directly against competitors like the TVS Raider 125, Honda SP 125, and Bajaj Pulsar 125.
