MUMBAI — Actor Tiger Shroff escaped with minor glass scratches on Sunday evening when unidentified assailants fired multiple rounds at his car in Juhu, leaving his driver and a bystander injured.

The incident occurred around 7:00 PM near Pushpa Narsee Park (Jamnabai Nursery), roughly 350 metres from the Juhu police station, as the actor’s vehicle was leaving the premises following an event. Two armed men stepped out from a nearby crowd and discharged approximately seven rounds directly at the car, shattering the windshield and windows.

A third accomplice was waiting nearby on an idling motorcycle, which the shooters used to quickly flee the scene toward S.V. Road and Vile Parle railway station. Footage circulating online shows one shooter’s weapon appearing to jam at close range as he attempted to fire an additional round through the side window.

Casualties and Medical Status

  • Firdaus (Driver): Sustained a bullet wound to his left hand after a projectile pierced the glass. He was admitted to Nanavati Hospital, where doctors confirmed a foreign object was lodged in his hand requiring surgical intervention.
  • Umesh Charan (Bystander, 35): Suffered a gunshot wound to the chest area while present near the venue. He was taken to Cooper Hospital, where medical staff confirmed his vitals are stable ahead of emergency surgery.
  • Tiger Shroff: Suffered minor abrasions from shattered windscreen glass. Senior police officials confirmed the actor did not sustain direct bullet wounds.

Investigation Underway

Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch have deployed 15 special teams to track down the assailants. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage along the suspected escape route toward Vile Parle to establish the identities of the suspects, who were reportedly dressed in white shirts.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis contacted Tiger Shroff to ensure his safety and convened a briefing with Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, directing authorities to take immediate, stringent action against the perpetrators.

Gang Claims Responsibility

Following the shooting, a social media post and voice note surfaced in which individuals identifying as Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu claimed responsibility on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The statement alleged that the actor had ignored previous warnings and issued renewed threats against Bollywood figures collaborating with actor Salman Khan. Police cyber and intelligence units are currently verifying the authenticity of the claims and digital recordings.
