The EPFO has finished migrating its entire database to the new Centralised IT-Enabled System, CITES 2.01. More than 120 regional databases have now been merged into one national system. This means members can submit and track claims from any authorized EPFO office in India, no matter where they were previously employed.

What’s new with centralization:

Work from anywhere: Service requests, KYC updates, and grievance resolution are no longer linked to the regional office where your PF was first deposited.

Higher auto-settlement limit: Advance claims can now be auto-settled up to Rs 5 Lakh, up from Rs 1 Lakh earlier.

Faster interest credit: Annual EPF interest will be processed automatically, with credits to member accounts completed by July 15 each year.Pre-validated claims: Claims are checked automatically before processing to catch missing details or mismatches upfront.

Current status and member tips:

EPFO is in a post-migration stabilization phase to verify and protect historical data.

Expect small delays: Claim and service request processing may take a bit longer than usual during this period.

Avoid repeat submissions: Please don’t file duplicate requests or try logging in multiple times during peak hours. It helps prevent system slowdowns.
