During a major hardware showcase in Gurugram on August 13, 2026, Google revealed that its compact fitness tracker, the Fitbit Air, will officially launch in Indian retail stores this coming October.

The announcement was made by Mitul Shah, Managing Director for Google Devices and Services in India, alongside the unveiling of the Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5. First launched globally in May across select US and European markets, the screenless wearable is designed as Google’s smallest and most discreet fitness tracker to date.

Despite its tiny pebble-style form factor, the Fitbit Air packs a comprehensive suite of sensor technology integrated directly with the Google Health app:

• Heart Health: 24/7 continuous heart rate monitoring, heart rhythm tracking, and Afib notification alerts.
• Biometrics: SpO2 (blood-oxygen saturation), resting heart rate, and heart rate variability (HRV).
• Sleep Tracking: In-depth analysis of sleep duration and sleep stages.
• Battery Life: Up to 7 days of continuous usage on a single charge.
• Compatibility: Works seamlessly with both Android and iOS devices.

Google plans to offer a variety of interchangeable wristbands to match different lifestyles and aesthetics:

While US pre-orders are currently priced at $99.99 for the standard edition and $129.99 for the Stephen Curry Special Edition, official Indian pricing has yet to be formally confirmed.
