Google has officially revealed its latest flagship smartphone series—the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL—placing autonomous “agentic” AI at the center of the user experience. The release comes just weeks before Apple is expected to launch a revamped Siri powered by similar Gemini AI models.

Powered by the new Tensor G6 chip, the Pixel 11 series introduces Gemini Intelligence. This suite of AI features can understand context across multiple applications and execute tasks autonomously. By analyzing data across Google services—including Messages, Calendar, and Maps—the system can independently propose actions, navigate travel routes, and complete tasks like booking reservations or scheduling appointments.

Rick Osterloh, Google’s head of devices, described the upgrade as a fundamental shift in user interaction, noting that agentic AI enables smartphones to accomplish tasks directly rather than just serving information.

Key Specs & Lineup Highlights

  • Pixel 11: Starts at $899 (256GB storage)
  • Pixel 11 Pro: Starts at $1,099
  • Pixel 11 Pro XL: Starts at $1,299
  • Pixel 11 Pro Fold: A redesigned foldable that is roughly 1mm thinner and nearly 10% lighter than its predecessor.
  • Pixel Tag: A new $29 item tracker integrated into Android’s Find Hub network.
  • Pixel Watch 5: Priced from $399.

Storage Upgrades and Industry Price Pressures

Base storage across the Pixel 11 lineup has been bumped to 256GB, up from the previous generation’s 128GB. The price adjustments reflect broader supply chain challenges, specifically ongoing shortages in RAM and flash memory components that are affecting the entire consumer electronics sector.

Competition with Apple

While both Google’s new Pixel features and Apple’s upcoming Siri revamp rely on Gemini models to perform cross-app tasks, Google executives emphasized that the platforms are diverging. Google points to Android-exclusive innovations—such as real-time scam detection and enhanced voice transcription—to differentiate the Pixel experience from iOS.

The Pixel 11 series is available for pre-order, with general availability starting August 20.
