Education & Early Career: Originally from Rewari, Haryana, Mittal earned a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Bangalore. She previously worked in an investment banking role in London before returning to India to prepare for the civil services. Civil Services Journey: She cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2012 to join the Indian Police Service (IPS), followed by securing All India Rank 68 in 2013 to enter the IAS. Administrative Tenures: She served as District Magistrate (DM) in Sant Kabir Nagar, Mirzapur, and Deoria, and was serving as Special Secretary in the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Department prior to her resignation.
