Important Conditions & Ineligibility Local Language Proficiency: Applicants must be proficient in the official local language of the state or UT they apply for. Single Application: Candidates are permitted to apply for only one state/UT. Current/Former SBI Clerks: Individuals currently working as SBI Clerks or those who previously resigned from the post are not eligible to apply. Selection Process The recruitment process involves three distinct phases: Preliminary Examination: Qualifying in nature; marks are not added to the final merit list. Mains Examination: Scores achieved in this phase dictate the final merit rank. Local Language Test (LPT): Mandatory for candidates who have not studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard.
