Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match unofficial One-Day series against Australia A due to an injury setback. Mumbai all-rounder Suryansh Shedge has been drafted into the India A squad as his replacement. Pandya, who had been out of competitive action following IPL 2026, was named in the India A squad last month to build match sharpness. However, this fresh injury prevents his participation in the home series. Shedge recently cleared his mandatory fitness assessments at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Following clearance from the medical staff, he traveled directly to Puducherry to join the squad. Shedge made his international debut for India earlier this year during a T20I fixture against Ireland in Belfast. Due to this national assignment, Shedge will miss Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy opener against Chandigarh, scheduled to begin on October 11 at Wankhede Stadium. Anukul Roy Steps In for Naman Dhir In another roster adjustment, dynamic batter Naman Dhir will also miss the Australia A series after receiving a national call-up to the senior Indian squad as cover for Washington Sundar in the five-match T20I series against the West Indies. All-rounder Anukul Roy has been added to the India A squad in Dhir’s place. The three-match series between Ruturaj Gaikwad-led India A and Australia A will take place in Puducherry from October 6 to October 11. Updated India A Squad: Ruturaj Gaikwad (c), Devdutt Padikkal (vc), Priyansh Arya, Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, Kumar Kushagra (wk), Nishant Sindhu, Vipraj Nigam, Arshin Kulkarni, Arshad Khan, Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Gurjapneet Singh, Yash Thakur, Anukul Roy, Suryansh Shedge.
