Bollywood actor Celina Jaitly shared a heartbreaking video on social media to mark the heavenly birthday of her late son, Shamsher. In the clip, recorded during her April visit to Austria, the actress is seen weeping while laying flowers beside her infant son’s grave. Alongside the video, she penned an extensive open letter detailing her grief, her ongoing separation from her living children, and the painful legal battles she currently faces.

Grief and a Final Wish Marking the occasion with the tribute “Happy Birthday in Heaven,” Celina wrote about the enduring void left by Shamsher’s passing. Expressing her wishes for the future, she stated that she hopes her last rites take place in India, with her ashes eventually laid to rest beside Shamsher in Austria. She explained that she chose to record her graveside visit in April because rising uncertainties left her unsure of when she would be permitted to return to the cemetery.

Struggles with Distance and Custody The emotional note also addressed Celina’s deep pain regarding her ongoing custody conflict. In the post, she reflected on how she previously relocated abroad, leaving behind her homeland, family, and acting career to build a home. Now separated from her husband and embroiled in legal divorce proceedings, she lamented the barriers that keep her from seeing her other sons, who reside with their father.

Addressing the judicial process, she asked how any mother could reasonably reduce a lifetime of maternal devotion into formal legal paperwork and courtroom arguments just to validate her love. She shared her heartbreak at having to communicate through recorded messages instead of holding her sons directly.

Personal Adversities and Career Return Celina’s personal life has faced compounding challenges, including ongoing efforts to appeal to authorities regarding her brother, a former military officer currently detained abroad. Despite the emotional toll, she affirmed her determination to stay resilient for her children.

Professionally, the actress has returned to India and is preparing to resume her acting career after a prolonged hiatus. She is set to make her screen comeback in the upcoming biographical project Sister Nivedita, the first look of which was recently released by the production team
