Bhopal Madhya Pradesh Minister of Tribal Affairs Kunwar Vijay Shah on Monday said technology integration and skill development are key to strengthening rural enterprises. Speaking at the India Rural Colloquy 2026 – Madhya Pradesh Chapter at MANIT Bhopal, he stressed that along with schemes like Ladli Behna Yojana, women should also get skill-based training. He added the focus must be on making rural youth self-reliant and helping them realize their potential. The Colloquy, organized by Transform Rural India (TRI), centered on the theme ‘The Prosperity Formula for Madhya Pradesh’. Policymakers, experts and community leaders discussed ways to build climate-resilient, inclusive and prosperous rural economies by 2047. Community voices: Leaders Anita Bhabar and Kalpana Muniya shared experiences on gender, governance and climate. Padma Shri Mahesh Sharma said, “We must work with Adivasi communities, not for them.” About the event: The India Rural Colloquy is TRI’s flagship platform. In 2026 it will cover 6 states over 8 days to shape solutions on livelihoods, governance, climate, gender, health and technology for rural India.
