The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the national squads for the upcoming home assignment against the West Indies, which includes three ODIs and five T20Is. The ODI selection features sweeping changes compared to the squad that toured England, primarily driven by squad splits for the Asian Games 2026 and veteran returns.

Key Absences and Roster Shake-Up

All-rounder Harsh Dubey has missed out on national selection entirely. After featuring in the previous ODI series against England, Dubey lost his spot following the return of senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and was not picked for the Asian Games roster either.

Pacer Prince Yadav was omitted from the 50-over squad, though he retained a spot in the five-match T20I lineup. Six key regulars were also excluded from the ODI series due to their commitments with the Asian Games 2026 squad:

  • Shreyas Iyer
  • Jasprit Bumrah
  • Arshdeep Singh
  • Shivam Dube
  • Ishan Kishan
  • Axar Patel

Maiden Call-Ups for Nabi and Dhir

The 15-member setup features two fresh faces receiving their maiden call-ups to India’s ODI squad:

  • Auqib Nabi: The seam bowler earns his first inclusion in the 50-over international setup after strong performances on the domestic circuit.
  • Naman Dhir: The Punjab batter has been drafted into the senior national side following impactful domestic outings.
