According to announcements cited by Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, subscribers will soon be able to interact with a verified green-tick EPFO account by sending a simple greeting from their registered contact number. The platform will offer multilingual support across regional languages to resolve basic queries and share real-time claim status notifications. Recent PF Withdrawal Policy Overhauls Alongside digital communication upgrades, the EPFO has enacted major procedural reforms to speed up fund disbursals: Consolidated Withdrawal Categories: The previous framework of 13 partial withdrawal provisions has been restructured into three simple classifications: Essential Needs, Housing Needs, and Special Circumstances. Relaxed Criteria: Members can access up to 100% of their eligible balance under revised caps, with the minimum service requirement lowered to 12 months. Withdrawals filed under “Special Circumstances” no longer demand mandatory justifications. Expanded Auto-Settlement: The cap for computer-driven, automated claim settlements has been raised from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. By removing manual verification for eligible requests related to medical needs, education, housing, and marriage, funds can now be credited into bank accounts within three working days while preserving at least 25% of the total balance for long-term retirement security.
