Infosys confirmed on Friday that Lax Gopisetty, Chief Executive Officer of its subsidiary Infosys Public Services (IPS), remains unreachable after severe flash floods battered Nepal. Gopisetty was traveling in the region on a personal trip when the disaster struck. The Bengaluru-based IT firm stated that locating him and ensuring his safety are its immediate priorities. The company is coordinating with government and rescue authorities to gather details and re-establish contact, while extending full assistance to his family. Floods Leave Hundreds Missing Along Border The natural disaster has triggered widespread destruction across the Nepal-Tibet border region. According to India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), at least 320 Indian nationals are currently unaccounted for, while around 400 others remain stranded on the Chinese side. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed that 153 stranded citizens have successfully crossed back into Nepal, with 21 individuals already evacuated to New Delhi. The Indian government affirmed it is prepared to provide all necessary humanitarian support to authorities in Kathmandu.
