New Delhi — The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has started crediting EPF interest for 2025-26 into members’ accounts. Members can check their passbook to confirm the credit. EPFO is also sending SMS alerts to subscribers. If the interest amount has not appeared in your EPF account yet, you can file a complaint. But before that, make sure to check your EPF passbook first. The money may have been credited, but the SMS might not have reached you. Here’s how you can check your EPF passbook and raise a complaint if needed. 3 Ways to Check Your EPF Passbook 1. Missed Call If your UAN is registered, give a missed call from your registered mobile number to 011-22901406. Note: Make sure your bank account, Aadhaar and PAN are linked with your UAN. You can ask your employer to link them. This service is free. 2. SMS Send an SMS to 7738299899 in this format: EPFOHO UAN ENG Replace ENG with the first 3 letters of your preferred language. Example: For Marathi, type EPFOHO UAN MAR. 3. Online Go to the EPFO member portal → Click on Member Passbook → Login with UAN and password. Your passbook will appear. You can also check your PF passbook through the UMANG App. How to File a Complaint If Interest Is Not Credited If you don’t see the interest credit entry in your passbook, you can file a complaint in 2 ways: 1. Helpline Numbers Call EPFO helpline: 14470 or 1800-118-005 and register your complaint. 2. EPFO Grievance Portal – Step by Step Go to the official EPFO grievance portal: epfigms.gov.in Click on Register Grievance You will see 3 options + Others. Click on Others A form will open. Fill in the required details and submit your complaint. Keep your UAN, PF details and bank information handy while filing.
