The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the online correction facility for the List of Candidates (LOC) for Class 10 and Class 12 students appearing in the 2026–27 academic session. Affiliated schools can log in to the official portal, cbse.gov.in, to cross-verify and amend student records. The board has stipulated November 7 as the firm deadline, emphasizing that no extension or subsequent modification requests will be entertained after the window closes. Permissible Fields for Correction Institutions have been instructed to thoroughly audit and edit discrepancies across the following parameters: Student’s full name, father’s name, mother’s name, and guardian’s name Date of birth (DoB) Registered subject combinations and course codes Schools must formally notify parents and students of the schedule so that records can be matched against primary identification documents before final submission. Inaccurate data can lead to disruptions during exam admit-card generation and complications in future academic credentials. Key Guidelines for Parents and Candidates Full Names and Surnames: Ensure names are fully spelt out without informal abbreviations or initials. Including the candidate’s legal surname is vital, particularly for students planning higher studies overseas where foreign visa and university registries mandate complete family names. Date of Birth Alignment: The birth date registered in the LOC must match the student’s passport and birth certificate. Subject Choice Verification: Double-check all opted subjects and elective codes for both Class 10 and Class 12. CBSE reiterated that no subject modifications will be approved once the portal shuts on November 7. The verification drive is designed to eliminate database anomalies well in advance, ensuring uninterrupted administration of the board examinations for the 2026–27 academic year.
