Kush Shah, widely recognized for playing Goli (son of Dr. Hansraj Hathi) in the long-running sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has reconnected with his audience through a novel creative project. Around a year after exiting the television series to pursue higher education in New York, the actor has stepped into content creation with a unique YouTube video that shows him cooking inside a stranger’s house in Mumbai.

A Culinary Journey on Mumbai Streets

In his inaugural YouTube upload, Shah highlighted his deep passion for cooking and his desire to express gratitude toward viewers. The actor took to the streets of Mumbai, approaching passersby to ask if they would allow him into their kitchens to prepare a meal.

While several people declined due to camera hesitation or compact kitchen setups, one resident eventually agreed. Shah subsequently purchased the necessary ingredients and visited the host’s family, preparing a signature dish: pineapple curry served with rice. The family warmly welcomed the actor and praised the finished meal.

Reflecting on the debut, Shah noted that launching the channel took nearly five years of overthinking, planning, and hesitations before he finally moved forward with recording and releasing the footage.

Reflecting on his transition to academic life in the United States, Shah previously shared that living independently in New York pushed him out of his comfort zone, requiring him to manage daily chores and cooking on his own. Despite the global experience, the actor quipped that he still preferred the familiar charm of Ghatkopar over Times Square.
