Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer Ather Energy has introduced the Konarc, an electric scooter designed for the mass-market family segment, with introductory prices starting at ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom). Alongside the new model, Ather unveiled its Gen-5 Bedrock Battery platform, Ather True Health vehicle diagnostics, and the Ather Node community charging solution.

Ather Konarc Lineup and Specifications

The Konarc is the debut model built on Ather’s newly developed EL platform, emphasizing ride comfort, stability, daily practicality, and easy maintenance.

  • Variants & Range: Available across the S and Z series lineups (including S 100, S 125, and S 161 options), offering certified Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) ranges from 100 km up to 200 km.
  • Battery Warranty: Standard with a 10-year or 100,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) guaranteeing a minimum 70% state-of-health (SoH).
  • Pricing: Base models start at ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom).

Fifth-Generation Bedrock Battery Platform

Ather’s latest Bedrock Battery technology introduces advanced safety and longevity features:

  • BreachSense Technology: A real-time safety diagnostic that detects microscopic post-impact damage and cell micro-leaks within hours.
  • Cell Balancing: Provides 5x greater cell-balancing capacity over previous iterations.
  • Extended Life Span: Designed to maintain 70% health across 1,00,000 to 1,20,000 km, up from the earlier 80,000 to 1,00,000 km baseline.

Ather Node & Ather True Health Ecosystem

To resolve EV infrastructure constraints in multi-unit housing and commercial buildings, Ather introduced Ather Node. This smart charging gateway balances power loads across up to 1,000 individual charge points using a single central system, enabling dedicated parking-spot charging for residents.

Additionally, Ather True Health will provide users with comprehensive health metrics and certified resale value assessments for their electric two-wheelers.
