Sehwag and Dravid’s Sons Included in India U19 Squad Against Australia

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India Under-19 squads for the upcoming home series against Australia U19, featuring three One-Day matches and two multi-day fixtures.

The highlight of the selection is the inclusion of Aaryavir Sehwag, son of former India opener Virender Sehwag, and Anvay Dravid, son of former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid, in the 50-over squad.

Devajit Saikia, Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, confirmed the selections.

Leadership & Squad Composition

• One-Day Matches: Lakshya Raichandani will captain the side, with Yashbardhan Chauhan serving as vice-captain.
• Multi-Day Matches: Yashbardhan Chauhan takes over the captaincy, supported by Lakshya Raichandani as vice-captain.

Both Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid have been selected exclusively for the One-Day format and are not part of the multi-day squad.

Match Schedule

Performance Track Record Right-handed batter Aaryavir Sehwag earned his maiden national call-up following consistent domestic performances, including a 297-run double-century against Meghalaya in the Cooch Behar Trophy and recent appearances for the West Delhi Lions in the Delhi Premier League.

Wicketkeeper-batter Anvay Dravid retained his spot in the 50-over setup following an 87-run inning during India U19’s tour of Sri Lanka earlier this year.
