His daughter, filmmaker Karishma Kohli, was seen helping carry her father’s mortal remains, while his wife, veteran actress Aruna Irani, was inconsolable as she paid her final respects. Passing and Final Moments Born Avtar Kohli, the 77-year-old filmmaker suffered a massive heart attack and passed away at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news on August 25, sharing his condolences publicly for his close friend and long-time colleague. Personal Life and Family First Marriage: Kuku Kohli was previously married to Rita Kohli, with whom he had two daughters, Pooja Kohli and Karishma Kohli.
