The National Testing Agency (NTA) has suspended Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited from its panel following a power disruption that disrupted the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026. The technical failure left 49 candidates unable to complete their examination. NTA has announced a re-examination for the affected candidates on September 1.

Power Outage Interrupts Exam at Jaipur Center

The nationwide exam took place across 200 centers, with 35,788 out of 36,979 registered candidates appearing for the test. However, technical disruptions occurred at the Shri Satya Sai PG College center in Jaipur, where 192 candidates were appearing.

  • Cause of Failure: A short circuit caused a power outage roughly 20 minutes into the two-hour exam, leading to computer shutdowns.
  • Lack of Backup: The center invigilator confirmed that the power failure triggered technical issues and no secondary backup power was supplied.
  • Student Protests: Frustrated by prolonged delays, several candidates exited the test center to protest the management’s failure.

Allegations of Malpractice

Candidates alleged that the blackout created chaos inside the examination halls. Some reported that test-takers began communicating and allegedly cheating in the presence of the center supervisor. Candidates expressed frustration at being instructed to remain seated at unpowered terminals while no immediate solution was provided.

Action Taken and Re-Examination Details

NTA responded by issuing a notice to the testing agency and barring it from further operational involvement pending a full resolution.

  • Re-Exam Schedule: The 49 affected candidates will retake the exam on September 1 at the Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women.
  • Scope of AIAPGET: The exam governs admissions to postgraduate MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses across Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy systems.
